The City of Shreveport will have a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday to celebrate the grand reopening of the Valeria Park Community Center.
The ceremony will be held on Thursday, March 22 at the center, located at 1800 Viking Drive Street. The renovations include a new basketball gymnasium, a new arts and crafts room, a new computer lab, a new multipurpose room, an exercise and dance room. Also included is a new office for the Shreveport Police Department’s Community Liaison officer for the area. The total project cost was just over $2 million.
“We are excited about the renovations at Valencia Park Community Center and glad to be able to open again for our citizens,” said Mayor Ollie Tyler.
