Shreveport, LA, April 26, 2012: Shreveport Public Assembly & Recreation (SPAR) seven (7) spraygrounds will open to the public on Tuesday, May 1, 2012. SPAR’s spraygrounds includeAirportPark, David Raines, Hattie Perry, Lakeside and Querbes community centers, along with AC Steere andRiverviewPark.
The spray parks have become very popular neighborhood amenities, offering respites from the sweltering summer heat. The cool spray of water lowers the body temperature and increases the enjoyment of a beautiful summer day. Use of the spraygrounds is free of charge.
The spraygrounds will be in operation from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., seven days a week.RiverviewPark’s sprayground operates seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 a.m. and has a wind sensor that will shut down the fountains if the wind gets too high. Grab your bathing suit and cool out on a hot summer day with SPAR! Water shoes are recommended.
