David Raines Community Center and Park is located in northwest Shreveport and one mile southeast of Southern University-Shreveport.

The community center is the "heart and soul" of the Martin Luther King community providing recreational, athletic, educational and cultural enrichment programming to all ages.

The Park covers over seventeen (17) beautiful acres of recreational amenities including: walking trails, swimming pool/spray pad, outdoor basketball courts, lighted softball field, tennis courts, playground equipment and picnic shelters.
